Daily Schedule
8:50 AM - 3:15 PM
K-8
K-8 learners begin each week setting individualized goals for the week ahead. Reflection time is built into the schedule each day to empower learners to track their progress and achieve their goals.
The morning consists of focused academic time wherein learners work at their own pace while engaging in a combination of small group instruction, independent work, and guided lessons.
The afternoon consists of focused academic work and Exploration. Exploration is 6-8 weeks of interactive, hands-on, theme-based learning typically rooted in social studies and science. At the end of each Exploration, learners use creative freedom to demonstrate their mastery to parents, friends, and community members in a theme-based Showcase.
High School
Our high schoolers start each week setting individualized goals for the week ahead. Reflection time is built into the schedule each day to empower learners to take ownership over their learning, increase confidence and sense of self, while working on their individual map to graduation.
High schoolers work at their own pace engaging in a combination of small group instruction, independent work, and guided lessons. Afternoons consist of creative and interactive curriculum developed by IDLC, that is centered around 9-12 required social studies and science.
High schoolers explore and secure internship placements each year. Internships take place one-two days per week with the purpose of increasing learners’ sense of self, skills, and abilities and equipping them to graduate and enter adulthood.
